The first day of conference will be dedicated to EDULINK.

The programme started in 2006. Three Calls for Proposals have been executed so far, which allowed the commitment of €35 million of funding to 66 international co-operation projects. A fourth Call will be launched in autumn 2011, with a budget of €20 million.

Three different sessions are envisaged on this day. The first two sessions include presentations followed by questions and answers. Bilateral meetings are foreseen in the last part of the day.

Session 1: Planning for sustainability – the future of the EDULINK projects

The objective of this session is to assess the sustainability of the EDULINK projects after the end of the EC financing. Two completed projects and two projects in their closing phase will present their experiences. They will report about the academic and institutional goals achieved by the project members, the continuation of their partnership and their plans to guarantee its sustainability on the long term.

Session 2: Achieving the academic and institutional goals of the EDULINK projects

Some on-going projects will report on their approach to achieve their goals. They will also report on best practices, constraints and solutions found. Their experience will be the basis of discussion with the participant EDULINK projects’ managers.

Session 3: Work sessions for participants representing EDULINK projects

Bilateral meetings: the representatives of the EC, ACP Secretariat and the EDULINK PMU will use the occasion of the conference for bilateral talks with some projects.

Sub-group meetings: EDULINK beneficiaries involved in similar thematic projects have the opportunity to meet and discuss on common issues.
